2. 02 Day 2

   Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial: Guided Tour + Transport

   After breakfast, walk to the nearby meeting point for your group tour. It’s just a short distance from your hotel. The meeting point is at Neue Promenade 3, 10178, Berlin You'll meet your guide in the center of Berlin and travel by train to the town of Oranienburg. Your group is capped at 15 people so you'll be sure to hear and learn from your guide throughout the trip. In an intimate group of maximum 15 people, explore the memorial with an expert guide, browse the exhibitions on the site and find out how the meticulously designed camp functioned as the head of the entire camp network. 3. 03 Day 3

   Potsdam: Trip from Berlin

   After breakfast, walk to the nearby meeting point for your group tour. It’s just a short distance from your hotel. The meeting point is at Reichstagufer 17, Berlin Stroll around the Dutch Quarter, an ensemble of red-brick buildings that is unique in Europe. The infamous Soldier King, Frederick William I – renowned for the giant men he collected for his showcase military regiments – built the houses in the mid-18th century to accommodate Potsdam's community of Dutch artisans. After crossing the Bridge of Spies, visit Cecilienhof, a palace that was originally built as a residence for Germany's last crown prince but came to be used to host the Potsdam Conference in 1945. Your guide will describe the discussions that took place between Churchill (and later Attlee), Truman, and Stalin, which were to seal the fate of Cold War Europe for the next half century.
