Within a short distance of nearby Porto, your Aveiro day trip starts with a guided tour of the city center, where Art Nouveau design is on full display. After your city tour, become the main character in a fado song and drift on a moliceiro boat cruise through the charming canals of Aveiro. Guided by a local captain, you'll learn about the maritime history of the fishing village and the original use of the moliceiro boat: to collect seaweed to harvest flor de sal. After your boat tour, look for a jar of flor de sal at the boutique shops in town as a tasty souvenir. Hop on the air-conditioned minibus for a quick jaunt to Costa Nova. 3. 03 Day 3

   Douro Valley Cruise from Porto to Pinhão with Breakfast and Lunch

   Sail along the Douro River with breathtaking landscapes from Porto to Pinhão In the morning walk to the group meeting point (just 10 min walk) and meet your guide in either Estiva Quay or Gaia Quay. The reservation team will give you the exact location when you confirm your booking. Live guide: English, French, Portuguese, Spanish Start time 08:00 Enjoy panoramic views as you pass the Crestuma-lever Dam and the Carrapatelo Dam Be amazed by the vineyards of one of the first demarcated wine regions in Europe Sample some fine wines surrounded by the terraced vineyards of one of Europe's oldest wine regions Escape the stress of the city and relax in the peace and quiet of the Douro Valley! This cruise along the Douro River gives you optimal views of the Douro Valley in the Norte Region of Portugal, as well as a delicious breakfast and lunch. Board the boat at Cais da Estiva in the Ribeira of Porto. Then, sail into the Douro Valley, passing the vineyards of one of Europe’s earliest demarcated wine regions. Continue past Quintas to the Crestuma-Lever Dam just in time for lunch. Sail further along the Douro River to the high Carrapatelo Dam. Cross the “capital of wine” at Régua, then arrive in Pinhão arrive at around 5 pm for a visit to a wine estate with a wine tasting. Return to Porto by bus at around 8 pm.

   Braga and Guimarães Tour from Porto
