After breakfast, the day starts with a tour of the world-famous Meteora Monasteries, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perched atop towering rock pillars, these Byzantine monasteries were built by monks seeking spiritual solitude and protection from invasions. You will visit two of these monasteries, marveling at the incredible views and learning about the monastic lifestyle that continues to this day Next, head towards Metsovo, a charming mountainous village known for its traditional architecture,vibrant culture, and delicious local products. After exploring the cobbled streets and perhaps sampling some local cheese and wine, continue to the lakeside town of Ioannina, the capital of Epirus.known for its historic old town, the lake of Pamvotis, and the Ioannina Castle, one of the oldest in Greece.
