After breakfast, Meet your guide at the hotel lobby for the hotel pickup process. Pickup Time: 9:00 AM Discover Auckland’s stunning coastal scenery and volcanic landscapes on this half-day city tour. Starting with pick-up from Auckland, the tour takes you along the scenic Tamaki Drive to the beautiful seaside suburb of Mission Bay, offering spectacular views of Rangitoto Island. You will visit Bastion Point (MJ Savage Memorial Park) for panoramic views over the Waitematā Harbour, Auckland Harbour Bridge, and the city skyline. Continue to Achilles Point, one of the best photo spots in Auckland, with Rangitoto Island as a dramatic backdrop. The tour also includes visits to two of Auckland’s most famous volcanic landmarks, One Tree Hill (Maungakiekie) and Mount Eden, where you will enjoy breathtaking 360° views of the city and learn about Auckland’s volcanic history. After breakfast, Meet your guide at the hotel lobby for the hotel pickup process. Pickup Time: Between 6:00 to 6:45 am “The exact Pickup time will be confirmed prior to the tour” Note: You could ask the reception the night before to prepare a breakfast box for you to collect before the early departure. Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from Auckland followed by a scenic two-hour drive south to the Waikato region. Upon arrival at Hobbiton, you will have time to visit the official gift shop and enjoy refreshments at the Shire’s Rest Café before beginning your guided experience. Hop aboard the Hobbiton shuttle bus and begin a 2–2.5 hour guided tour through the enchanting Hobbit Village. Explore famous locations including Hobbit Holes, The Mill, and the Double Arched Bridge, while learning behind-the-scenes stories from the films. The experience ends with a complimentary drink at the legendary Green Dragon Inn before returning to Auckland through the scenic Waikato countryside.

On arrival, enjoy some free time at the Waitomo Homestead and Gift Shop before embarking on a 45-minute guided tour inside the Glowworm Cave, learning about its fascinating history, formations, and the unique glowworms. The tour includes a tranquil flat-bottom boat ride through the cave’s subterranean river, allowing you to admire the glittering glowworm display. The journey concludes with a scenic drive back to Auckland CBD.

Whale Watching & Dolphin Safari in Auckland

After breakfast, walk to the nearby meeting point for your group tour. It’s just a short distance from your hotel. The meeting point is at "Viaduct Harbour" Departure times: Morning Safari: Check-in closes 7:15 am & Safari departs 7:30 am Afternoon Safari: Check-in closes 12:45 pm & Safari departs 1:00 pm Note: All passengers must check in with our crew no later than 15 minutes before departure time. Starting Location: The Viaduct Harbour is located at the western end of Quay Street (left as you are looking at the water) in downtown Auckland. When arriving on foot, you will see the boat to your left, immediately opposite the New Zealand Maritime Museum Enjoy spectacular views of Auckland landmarks such as the Harbour Bridge, Devonport, North Head, and Rangitoto Island while searching for dolphins, Bryde’s whales, and other marine species. Engage with onboard marine science experts, join interactive research activities, and learn about the unique marine ecosystem through expert commentary.
